1954/1955, 5-page original contract between the designer Albrecht Graf Goertz and Bayerische Motoren Werke (BMW), including the contract dated December 10, 1954 and the extension contract dated December 14, 1955, signed by Graf Goertz and the Board of Management of BMW AG. This is the copy for Count Goertz, the version for BMW is in the company archives. Count Goertz devoted his design work primarily to the BMW 507 and the BMW 503; he was also responsible for the redesign of the BMW Isetta, the planned "Mittelwagen" and various other projects. Two telegrams from September 1955 are attached to the contract. Commercial Director Grewenig writes here to Count Goertz's address in New York "...at the opening of the IAA, the BMW stand with its new models, especially the 507, is the main attraction according to unanimous opinion...", Technical Director Fiedler writes "...indescribable success 503 and 507 with press and public...". A unique opportunity to acquire a piece of automotive history (the lot also includes an autographed photo of the BMW 507 Roadster signed by Count Goertz)
