1963, set of 2 pieces, including original letter from John Edgar to Luigi Chinetti, Edgar writes that he had spoken to Tony Anthony a few weeks ago, who had worked with Eleanor von Neumann for a long time. Anthony told him that Ferrari was working on an automatic transmission (the first car with an automatic transmission option, the Ferrari 400GT, only appeared 13 years later in 1976). Edgar's wife was having problems with the manual transmission, so he would like to buy a new Ferrari with automatic transmission for his wife. He asks Chinetti for more information about the automatic transmission and also wants to buy the Ferrari from Chinetti and not from the Zipper organization. At the end of the letter, Edgar asks if Chinetti has already passed on the wedding present that Luigi Junior's future wife is to receive before the wedding, with a handwritten reply from Luigi Chinetti.
