1970, original crash helmet with gloves from the fabulous film Le Mans, the helmet was worn in the film by the Swiss actor Fred Haltiner alias "Johann Ritter", Haltiner played in the film the teammate of Michael Delaney (Steve McQueen), both drove in the Gulf Porsche 917 Team, during the filming the helmet was among others worn by Steve McQueen, Brian Redman, Jo Siffert and the multiple Le Mans winner Derek Bell, Bell supports Steve McQueen during the filming in technical issues, this 1968s Bell helmet is a recreated design of the helmet of Pedro Rodriguez, Mc Queen was impressed with Rodriguez venturesomely way of driving, on the crash helmet are 13 signatures, among it the racing drivers, actors and supporting actors, there are e.g. Siegfried Rauch alias "Erich Stahler", who was in the film the strongest rival of Steve McQueen, David Piper (who lost a leg during the filming)…furthermore signed by Jackie Ickx, Hans Herrmann, Herbert Linge, the prop man Don Nunley (who was also working as bodyguard of McQueen), the actor Luc Merenda (driver of the Ferrari 512S) even Dr. Wolfgang Porsche were signing on the helmet, the original gloves are enclosed , the gloves were at last worn by Siegfried Rauch at the meeting with the present owner, on the helmet with the original customs seal with German eagle from 1971, many photos as documentation are enclosed , including photo evidence Steve McQueen wearing the helmet, shots of the film shoot, all photos of the autographers etc..., next to Steve McQueen's helmet the most popular helmet in the film, historically unique document of the time, museum quality
